yes- everyone has faults and makes mistakes; an organization even more so.. yet, you ignore all the fingers pointing at you.. many here have no faith.
many here go to churches who lie about everything biblical; look at x-mas!.
but at least we know god and christ and try to live up to their name!.
there is a tribe in west african called the dogon, their mythology states that their gods came from a dark star that orbits around sirius.
they claim this star went nova then condensed so that its now super dense.
they have on their cave walls drawings of jupiter and its 4 moons and saturn with its rings.
The Bible teaches that people were put on earth by invisible space aliens.
It says that we are surrounded by invisible space aliens on earth all the time. These space aliens are apparently secretly controlling the all the people, the animals, the weather, and the governments.
But you have pick sides, because the space aliens are in an intergalactic civil war.
Seems legit.
stop begging for crumbs like a pigeon in the park!.
nobody anywhere has truth tied up with a red ribbon to hand to you so you.
can go skipping down the road with a smile!.
Everything functions according to its own nature.
A person is correct only to the degree that they accurately identify that nature.
To claim the nature of all things is limited to what I perceive would be narcissistic.
well, i have been lurking on this site for several months and i recently decided to join as a member.
i have made several observations and would like to make a few comments.. first, i am perplexed by the attitude of many on this site that are either former or active (but apostate) jws.
they seem to have a strong hatred for the wts and also for rank and file jws.
You must take responsibility for your own decisions and not blame an organization for hoodwinking you into thinking that you must live your life differently because the end of the world is coming.
Heisenberg, you are correct.
This forum has always attacked and shouted down anyone who points out that we must take personal responsibility for our decisions and not solely blame JWs for our problems.
Its just not a popular message here, despite it being true and healthy.
Blaming the WT is easy. Identifying, accepting responsibility for, and correcting our deepest personal issues is hard.
well, the switchover happened - there were a couple of things i had to fix which meant the posting was disabled for longer than i planned but it's now enabled and some people have already posted.. if you have any questions about the new format or suggestions on how to improve it, please post them here.. if you are having trouble signing in or posting then you'll need to email me instead.. many thanks to everyone for their patience during the changeover !.
if you read jw literature, the world has been progressively getting "worse and worse" since 1914.. is that really the case?.
for a more rational analysis, look here:.
a few highlights:.
Violence, war, mayhem, & disease = JWs are right, Armageddon is near!
Peace & Security = JWs are right, Armageddon is near!
christians, should i attend kingdom hall meetings to discreetly "preach" to jws about the real jesus and the lies of the watchtower?.
.
i plan to go undercover and plant seeds into them.. .
NOW NOW Simon. 'Oh the gift that God had give us to see ourselves as others see us"
You should allow others to say what they believe even if you think it is a myth.
If everyone is allowed to say what they believe, why are shushing Simon?
as we all know, the internet is a real game-changer in allowing us to know the truth about the watch tower and its history.
i always had doubts and it was the internet that presented me with the ever-growing number of individuals who were going through a similar struggle.. i give the internet a 9 in my awakening.
what about you?.
Zero.
Read a chapter of a book while sitting at Barnes & Noble. Went from what I thought was deeply spiritual to atheist in one hour.
It was absolutely the best and most freeing experience of my life.
are they fearful that they are mistaken, so they must argue with everyone, and try to prove all otehr religions wrong, but their's right?.
i'm not talking about the well-known jw persistence, in which we all once shared.. i'm talking about nearly all brands of christianity, the witnesses and their other branded counterparts.
here are two incidents to demonstrate.. a week or so back, i read in a chinese newspaper of a complaint by two tibetan buddhist women in the city of xining, qinghai province, in western china.
Because common sense reality does not validate their supernatural claims & their desire to be special.
So the only place to get that validation is from the agreement of others.
